Wendy Williams will not be back on TV this fall

No matter how she cut it, Wendy Williams isn’t coming back to her eponymous talk show this fall.

The TV presenter is still determined to return to her purple chair in September – but that is “logistically impossible”, according to many insiders.

For starters, TV professionals point out, production company Debmar-Mercury has signed a contract with alum Sherri Shepherd “The View” to take over Williams ’terms.

“Where will she go? It’s over. Logistically, it won’t work. “Sherri has his appointments,” the insider told Six.

Williams sat down for IG Live with Fat Joe over the weekend and insisted that he would “absolutely” come back and not get involved in Shepherd’s show.

“I’m going back to ‘The Wendy Williams Show.’ Absolutely. Absolutely, ”she told the rapper, who replaced Remy Mau as the guest host during Williams’ absence.

And when it comes to Shepherd’s show: “It’s not really my thing … anyway, but I love being on my own show, and I love that people love watching it all the time,” she said.

Fat Joe was one of multiple guest hosts who replaced Williams during her one-year absence. Williams even told him she just wanted him and Mom to replace her future.

“I like everyone to be the host, but I have to say, I would like you to just do it … I love you two or just her or just you,” she said.

Another insider told us that Debmar-Mercury was “not happy” that Fat Joe interviewed Williams.

“He did not warn them about it and it did not seem good. She didn’t look like she was there. “Sometimes she couldn’t even finish the sentence,” said the source.

They also said there was an elephant in the room that “Wendy is not insured.”

“She was not able to work consistently … She did not have the mental and physical capacity to run her own show,” they said. “[Debmar] he wanted it back more than anyone. We would like her to finish this chapter. ”

The Wendy Williams Show will officially end in June. Williams – who initially gave up on the show due to ongoing health issues – could not be reached for comment. A representative of the show and Debmar-Mercury did not contact us.

Williams is currently in a nasty legal battle with Wells Fargo after her account was frozen in February claiming she needed custody. Williams is also planning his return. She held a Met gala afterparty last week, and was recently seen at the Fresco By Scotto restaurant talking to friends about her planned return to TV.
