Viral Marvel Fan Art presents Layla and Taweret together

During its six episodes, Knight of the Moon he could mostly focus on himself because of his disconnect from the larger Marvel cinematic universe. This means that not only did the series have enough time to tell the story of Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac), but also the cast of brand new supporting characters. These include Layla El-Faouly of May Calamawy, a character who quickly became MCU’s Scarlet Scarab.

As fate would have it, Layla became a favorite among fans. Enough, one piece of fan art depicting a character with the Egyptian god Taweret has become megaviral due to the sweet iteration of the duo. See for yourself the piece below.

At one point, Taweret and Layla actually wanted to meet face to face, but Knight of the Moon helmer Mohamed Diab changed to make god work through Layla much like Khonshu does the same with Marco and Steven Grant.

“You know, I found out I had to do it 30 minutes before we did it,” Calamawy said The Wrap. “Because initially Antonia Salib, who plays Taweret, was on set. She was supposed to be in the room with Layla. And then Mohamed Diab came to me in the trailer while I was getting ready and said,‘ You know, I’ve been thinking about it, and in fact, she has to go through you. ‘ And I really didn’t know what that meant. I was like, ‘You want me to imitate, like, to be suddenly possessed by Taweret?’ And he says, ‘Yeah, cool’ and leave me. “

“And I just had to bring it. I didn’t have time to think. And sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I had that time to sit with it,” the actress added. “But I just threw up, and it was probably the most liberating experience for me in the whole show. Because Mohammed was just giving me some notes, and then I would leave, and I didn’t have time to look at myself. And also with everything that happened that days, I felt this made perfect sense to Layla. She’s like she’s having this break right now, moment. “
