The May 17 Nymbl Science Webinar offers a roadmap for regional agencies on aging and health departments working to prevent falls among the elderly

DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE) – The constant challenge is to find a way to profitably help older people in the population you serve to achieve better balance. Now a free one-hour webinar entitled “How DRCOG has become a national leader in fall prevention with an innovative partner, Nymbl” will show you exactly how to do it. The webinar will take place Tuesday, May 17 at 11 a.m. MDT (10 a.m. Pacific time).

Nymbl Science, a Denver-based company with a solution for seniors seeking balance training at home, and the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) are hosting the event. They will offer a plan for successful balance training that can be conducted by regional aging agencies and state, county, and local health departments in Colorado and across the country.

The Nymbl app provides a scientifically validated balance training program that trains the brain and body to work together, a process known as a dual task.

Nymbl Science and DRCOG began collaborating in February 2021 to enroll 5,000 Coloradans 60-plus for free in Nymbl’s Digital Balance Training Program. Enrollment is fully covered by DRCOG and the State of Colorado. The program was so successful that Nymbl Science now serves 12,000 Colorado residents.

Among those who use Nymbl, 69 percent of those tested twice to assess their balance are no longer considered at high risk of falls.

During the one-hour webinar, Nathan Estrada, PT, DPT, Vice President of Clinical Nymbl Science and Jayla Sanchez-Warren, Director of the Regional Aging Agency at DRCOG, will explain how their organizations have managed to enroll so many seniors in the balance program.

“You will learn how DRCOG has become a national leader in fall prevention,” Estrada said. “We will show you how to accelerate your success to become a national leader in fall prevention.”
