Welcome back to another part of “this is today’s Wordle answer” where I do a Wordle puzzle and tell you the answer, but not before I give you some advice. Um … this one was tough. I got it in three, but it still took longer than most of the other puzzles put together because of the last word, and I wonder if it could stumble you in the same way.
We were on an easier road there for a while, but these two weekends Wordle words are hard again. We’ll see if someone breaks their string today, but the way this is structured, you may be forced to speculate until you get it with such limited capabilities. Or you can come here and I will give you an answer for free.

Today’s Wordle # 319 Answer and Tip
Before I continue, I’m going to pretend this is a Doctor Strange article in Multiverse of Madness and give you a big spoiler warning in case you’re here by accident. As for the hints before we dive into the actual answer? It’s a little harder. This is a strange word, I had to look for the exact definition. Sounds like something a rich man from the 40s could say. That’s the best I have.
And the answer is …
Yes, smart. I mean, I’ve heard that, I don’t know if I’ve ever used it before. So what is the definition of canny? It would be “to have or show shrewdness and good judgment, especially in money or business matters”. For example, “he’s a cunning businessman” or something. Again, I don’t hear most people say this … ever.
So how did I get there. I started with my usual CRANE and I thought I was doing well because it brought me C and N to the right places and the word that there is somewhere A. Then I hit “CAINS” which … I don’t really know what KAINS means , but the response generator accepted it on conjecture, so it told me where A was supposed to go. Then things got weird and I spent about 15 minutes staring trying to figure out CA_N_ the final answer without any other clues and without a lot of missing letters. I tried CARNE, but it’s a different language so he didn’t even accept the guesswork. Eventually my wife came in and hit CANNY, but she didn’t know what that meant either.
Well yes, there it is. Did you give up and end up here for an answer? If so, thank you for stopping by.
