Starfield’s new conceptual art emerged to show us the interior design of ships and buildings.
Late last month, Bethesda debuted Into the Starfield – Ep 3: The Sound of Adventure on her YouTube channel. Starfield audio director Mark Lampert and Starfield composer Inon Zur have talked extensively about the sound design of the new RPG, while new conceptual art has occasionally flashed on the screen, some of which you can see below.
The first part of the conceptual art, which was in a video with Lampert and Zur, shows what could be the interior of a spaceship in Starfield. So far we have seen the vast expanses of the new RPG, but we have not taken a good look at the interiors of the starships in which we will explore the aforementioned worlds.
Elsewhere in the range of conceptual art, there is something that looks like a person doing object welding, which may indicate that crafting is a feature at Starfield. We say it’s possible because we’ve only seen so little of Bethesda’s new RPG so far: after the cinematic trailer showed the general atmosphere of the game last year, we haven’t seen anything more than the game since.
However, all this could change very quickly. Xbox and Bethesda have announced a joint gaming show for next month in June, and without previous comments from game director Todd Howard about when we could potentially see gameplay for Starfield, it’s likely the new RPG could be the cover of a blockbuster gaming showcase.
In other news, Starfield’s inspiration for the soundtrack comes from Blade Runner and The Revenant.
