Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are especially grateful on this Mother’s Day for bringing their daughter Malta home from the hospital. Priyanka posted a long message and said her daughter was born prematurely and had been on NICU (neonatal intensive care) for 100 days.
The couple welcomed their daughter in January through a surrogate. Her name was not revealed, but the media revealed that her birth certificate mentions the name Malta Marie Chopra Jonas. The names are a tribute to Priyanka and Nick’s mothers.
“On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but think about these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been to, and which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After more than 100 days spent at NICU, our little girl is finally at home, ”Priyanka wrote.
She added: “Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours has been a few challenging months, what becomes quite clear, retrospective, is how precious and perfect every moment is. We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and we just want to thank all the doctors, nurses and specialists at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who have selflessly been there at every turn. Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is really dangerous. Let’s understand MM! Mom and Dad love you. ”
She also wished her fans Mother’s Day. “Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and carers in my life and beyond. You make it look so easy. Thank you.
