Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has been named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for the second season in a row, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
An official announcement is expected later this week.

In addition, Jokic is the 14th player in league history to win several league MVPs.
Jokic’s 2021-22 season was historic, as he averaged the most career points (27.1) and rebounds (13.8) per game. His 7.9 assists per game was also good for eighth place in the NBA League.
Apart from publishing some of the best figures in his career this season, Jokic is now alone with his statistics in three main categories. He is the first player in NBA league history to score 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 500 assists per season.
Jokic knocked out 76ers star center Joel Embiid, who had a phenomenal season to himself. Embiid finished his regular season averaging 30.6 points per game and 11.7 rebounds per game.
The final sum of votes for the MVP is yet to be announced on Monday morning.
