NILES – Mary Maxine Bartlett, 92, passed away on Monday night, May 2, 2022, at the Hospice House in North Lima.
Mary was born on March 4, 1930 in Stafford, Ohio, as the daughter of the late Clyde and Stella Brown.
She was the kind mother of three boys and always called them “my three sons.” She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She also loved being a pet mom to many animals, but her Maggie Mae was her heart. She had her own bar, her own business for many years, and she was also her own accountant. She enjoyed playing bingo and will surely make that known when she wins; bargaining at garage sales to get the best deals; watching football – especially the sporting events of the Raiders and her grandchildren; and canning, collecting cans and making the best homemade sauerkraut. She loved it and many will miss it.
Mary will greatly miss her brother Donald (Mary) Brown; grandchildren, Mary Jones (Kenny), Angel (Tim) Hilton, Tricia (Robert) Harkins, Brian (Patti) Worrell, Terry (Nikki) Worrell, Brian Parsons, Brandi Warner, Dennis Sawtelle, Katie (Gary) Scott and Jeffrey (Lindsey) ) Scott; 37 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and daughters-in-law, Rachel Worrell and Clara Sawtelle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by three sons, Terry Worrell Sr., William Worrell Sr. and Jeffery Scott; brothers, Ronald, Melvin, William and Robert Brown; sisters, Alice Serchick, Ori (Judy) Wallace and Katherine Hanlon; grandson, William Keith Worrell Jr .; great-grandchildren, Michael and Baby Harkins; and great-great-great-grandson, Oliver Todd Buratti.
Services for Mary were private, and burial was performed at Kerr Cemetery in Weathersfield City
