James Gunn talks about ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ‘Production cover – deadline

That is final Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3according to director James Gunn.

The screenwriter-director announced on Twitter on Friday that he had finished the main photo, also teasing that another “unannounced actor” will appear in the Marvel film.

His first message to fans was accompanied by his photo with the number Guards‘stars, including his brother Sean Gunn, Pom Klementieff, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan and Dave Bautista. “And that’s a picture of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy,” he wrote. “I love this amazing cast and their wonderful talent and kind souls. I am a happy man to have them on the road with me for almost a decade. ”

While Zoe Saldaña, who played Thanos ’adopted daughter Gamora in all three films, was not in the picture, Gunn quickly noticed that the actress was actually on the spot at the celebration. “And yes, Zoe was with us,” he wrote, “but the only picture I have with her has an unannounced actor with us!”

While the plot of the superhero image was kept secret, past sequels followed a half-man, half-alien Peter Quill aka Star-Lord (Pratt) and his gang of intergalactic criminals as they tried to repel various threats to their universe. Vol. 3 will be the third and final in the Gunn series Guards films, with Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sylvester Stallone and Will Poulter will also star. Production of the upcoming film, produced by Kevin Feige, began in November 2021. Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito and Nicolas Korda are executive producers, and David J. Grant and Simon Hatt are co-producers.

The first two films in the series — 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy and 2017 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2– together earned more than 1.6 billion dollars worldwide. Vol. 3 should be opened on May 5, 2023 against Paramount and eOne Dungeons & Dragons: Honor among thievesstarring Regé-Jean Page, Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Hugh Grant and others.
