Eva Mendes cries revealing that her mother “is not doing very well”

Eva Mendes shares sad family news.

The actress cried during her appearance on the show “Today” on Friday, after host Hoda Kotb wished Mendes’ mother, Eva Perez Suarez, a happy Mother’s Day.

“She’s not doing very well at the moment, so it means a lot to me,” said Mendes, 48.

“She survived in every way. Thank you.”

The “Hitch” star did not further elaborate on his mother’s well-being. Six contacted its representative for comment.

Mendes – who shares two children, Esmeralda (7) and Amad (6), with longtime partner Ryan Gosling – also spoke to Cott about how her upbringing affected her parenting skills.

“I really went back to when I was little,” she shared. “My mom could be with me at home until I was 8 or 9 years old. And those memories for me, which just formed what I was, that year with her. ”

Eva Mendes became emotional as she discovered that her mother, Eva Perez Suarez, was struggling with some health issues.

For the past few years, Mendes has spoken out loud about her decision to take a break from acting to focus on raising her and Gosling’s children.

She had previously admitted that having her own children gave her a whole new appreciation for what her mother had gone through in raising her and her three siblings.

“I can’t believe that my mother had three children under the age of 4 until she was 24.” She was in Cuba and completely alone, ”Mendes said in an editorial from the 2014 Violet Gray beauty page.

“So when it’s the wee hours of the night and I feel a little crazy, I think of her and realize I have no right to complain about anything.”

Mendes also admitted in the past that before she fell in love with Gosling, 41, in her late 30s, she didn’t want to have children. In April 2019, she told Women’s Health that having children was “the farthest of all”.

“Ryan’s mom, my mom, Ryan’s and my sisters. It is a village that has helped us, ”Mendes said of her own experience with motherhood.

“My heart is for women who do it alone. I basically come from a single-parent household; even though I love my dad, my mom mostly raised the four of us alone. ”
