Charlotte Flair injury details revealed

WWE’s Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey didn’t hold back anything in their match at WrestleMania Backlash, and Rousey was the one who would eventually lock herself in the armature through the chair, which is why Flair finally said I gave up, making Rousey became the new SmackDown female champion in the procedure. After the night Kendo Stick hit and hit the barricade, it made sense that an injury could occur, and WWE will reveal that Flair suffered a radius fracture (wrist injury) after a post-match examination, but according to a new Fightful Select report, it appears that it is a kayfaba injury and is designed to give Flair some free time.

The report says the angle of the injury was reserved to get Flair out of the story, and WWE Creative reportedly said Charlotte would take some time off. The injury is entirely a story, so it’s good news, but it’s not known when her free time will begin or how long it will take before she returns to the ring.

It’s also not known who will step in as Rousey’s next opponent now that she’s the champion. There are a few new faces on SmackDown and some are back, like Raquel Rodriguez, Lacey Evans and Shotzi, who are now all in the mix on SmackDown. There are also stars like Xia Li and Aliyah, but some of the other tough strikers like Sasha Banks, Naomi, Shayna Baszler and Natalya are all included in the women’s team title, so they probably won’t just mix with Rousey yet.

Another big comeback is Bayley, and although she is reportedly a free agent, SmackDown’s return seems likely. Asuka’s recent return to Raw and SmackDown’s slender female list are factors in that direction, and since Rousey is currently a babyface, returning Bayley full heel to face her in a new feud would be a hell of a way to start her return and give Rousey a rival a big name for her new Title.
