Welcome to your Kodak moment, Gavin Sheets.
Thanks to a bug spinning in his head during Monday’s game against the Guardians, the White Sox outfielder made a mistake that will surely be featured in the next issue of SportsCenter’s Not Top 10.
The show in question took place at the peak of the first inning when Sheets inflated a routine ball after Owen Miller’s goal. The mistake led to Cleveland’s first run of the competition and perfectly timed but rather untamed responses from Guardians commentator Rick Manning, who aired live: “Are you from ——?”.

To be fair, Sheets, a second-year player primarily used as a specific striker, has moved quite a bit this season, looking at time at first base and all three outside positions. But let’s be honest, his mistake combined with Manning’s response has created a comedy of mistakes that fans just don’t see very often.
Sheets, however, managed to make up for his mistake in the second half of the inning when he delivered this three-run homer and brought the White Sox to an early 4-1 lead.
Feel free to use your imagination as Manning’s call could have been.
